Q. How can I make a reservation?

 

A.  You must call our office to make a reservation.

Q.  Where can I find descriptions of rooms?

A.  Room descriptions are located under the "Accommodations" selection on the toolbar on the left hand side of our website.

Q.  What is the room rate? What taxes and/or additional charges apply?

A.  Room rate information is located under the "Rate" selection on the toolbar on the left hand side of our website. Information on this page is broken down by room type, occupancy, weekday rates and weekend rates. Please note that tax is NOT included in this price breakdown. Taxes paid upon check-in are Ohio Sales Tax (7%), Ohio Bed Tax (3%), and Put-in-Bay Resort Tax (1.5%). Additional charges may vary.

Q.  Do you have a minimum night stay?

A.  Yes. We have a two night minimum stay on all weekends and a three night minimum stay on all Put-in-Bay Holiday weekends. During the week, Sunday thru Thursday, no minimum stay is required.

Q.  Can I book more than one room on the same reservation?

A.  You may book as many rooms as your party requires.

Q.  How can I be guaranteed my room will have the bed type, view or location I prefer?

A.  Upon making a reservation please specify room type, bed type, smoking preference, view and location.  You may also request additional items such as cribs, extra blankets, & pillows.  Our Front Desk Staff will flag these personal requests to ensure you have a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Occasionally, we receive more requests for a particular room type than we have available at a particular time of season.  When this occurs, we honor requests based on the date a reservation was made and if a deposit has been received.

Q.  Will I receive a confirmation of my reservation?

A.  After a deposit is receive via check, money order, cash, or credit card a confirmation letter will be sent to you via standard mail within 5-10 business days or via e-mail within 5 business days.  When receiving a confirmation via e-mail please print out a copy and bring it with you.

Q.  How can I make changes to my reservation?

A.  To make a change in your reservation please call our office at (888)PIB-STAY.  If you have already received a confirmation letter please have it on had for referral.

Q.  Do I need to guarantee my reservation with a deposit?  If a deposit is required to guarantee my reservation, may I use my credit card and when will it be charged?

A.  Yes, a deposit is required in order to guarantee a reservation.  Yes, you may use a credit card, check, money order, or cash to secure your deposit from April to October.  From November to March a deposit via check or money order will only be accepted.  If using a credit card you can expect your card to be charged the deposit as soon as the hotel can process it.  Within 1-5 business days.

Q.  Which credit cards can be used to guarantee a reservation?

A.  Bay Lodging House accepts Visa and MasterCard only.

Q.  Can I check-in/ out early?  Can I check-in/ out late?

A.  Requests for an early check-in/ out or a late check-in/ out are honored as space permits.  If the hotel is full, we may be unable to grant your request.  However, you are invited to store luggage and enjoy the facilities until your room becomes available.  If arrangements are not made for a late checkout prior to arrival a penalty fee, equivalent to a full days lodging, may apply.

Q.  What is your cancellation policy?

A.  All cancellations made 2 weeks prior to the arrival date will receive a full refund less a $15.00 cancellation fee per room reserved.  Cancellation made within 2 weeks of arrival date will forfeit the deposit.  NO EXCEPTIONS!  This also applies to early departures.  Cancellation must be acknowledged with a a cancellation number obtained from the office.

Q.  Do you rent golf carts?  If you do rent golf carts, am I able to reserve one in advance and how much do they cost?

A.  Yes.  We do rent golf carts on site.  The hourly rate is $11.00 per hour for two people, $13.00 per hour for four people, $32.50 for half a day(4 hours), $48.00 for a full day(8 hours) for two people,  $64.00 for a full day (8 hours) for four people. $75.00 for a full day(8 hours) for six people.  All carts must be returned by dark.  We do not accept reservation for golf carts.  Golf carts are rented on a first come first serve basis, unless you or members of your party have special needs.

Q.  How can I receive a Bay Lodging House Brochure via standard mail?

A.  We are happy to send you a brochure, but we encourage you to help us minimize our impact on the environment by visiting our Home Page and it’s Table of Contents.  Virtually all the facts and photos in the brochure can be found on the hotel pages here in www.baylodging.com.  If you still prefer a brochure, you may order one by submitting the Reservation Request form, by emailing us , or by calling our office at (888)PIB-STAY.

Q.  Do you have a restaurant on site?

A.  No we do not have a restaurant on site.  However, we do have a pool-side snack bar.  At our snack bar we serve an assortment of breakfast and lunch items.  Please visit the link to our Snack Bar located in the Table of Contents.  We also serve adult beverages, which means we do carry an Ohio State Liquor License.  Our bar maintains the same hours of operation as our pool area, therefore, if the pool is closed the bar is closed as well.  Please note that ALL Ohio State Liquor Laws apply when staying at our hotel.

Q.  Do you have a bar?

A.  Yes.  The Captain's Pond is located poolside and is open Monday thru Saturday, 8:00am to 8:00pm and Sunday, 10:00am to 8:00pm.
