Put-in-Bay's is home to an original 1917 Herschel carousel, one of the last merry-go-rounds in the country that's still up and running and you can ride this classic for only $1.50. Ohio State University Stone Labs At Put-In-Bay
Built in 1895 and located on the 6.5-acre Gibraltar Island in the Put in Bay harbor, Frantz Theodore Stone Laboratory is Ohio's Lake Erie laboratory. Stone laboratory is the nation's oldest freshwater biological field station and the Island Campus of The Ohio State University. College-level courses are offered at the laboratory each summer with faculty and students coming from all over the country. Students from 40 Ohio colleges, 27 out-of-state colleges, and 257 high schools have taken these courses for college credit since 1990. Year round research also takes place at the Laboratory and it also offers special conference facilities and speakers. The Laboratory develops and offers custom-designed Aquatic Workshop programs for grades 4 through adult with over 5,000 participants annually.

Perry's Cave At Put-In-Bay
Located 50 feet below Put in Bay, Perry's Cave is open to island visitors for 20-minute tours. South Bass Island's secret limestone cave is 165 feet wide and 208 feet long and has its own freshwater lake underneath Lake Erie. A sweatshirt or light jacket and comfortable walking shoes are suggested, as the temperature underground drops to about 50 degrees.
Perry's Victory And International Peace Memorial
The Perry Peace Memorial and Visitors Center on Put in Bay was built in honor of Oliver Hazard Perry, who defeated the British in a huge naval battle on Lake Erie that played a key role in the American victory in the War of 1812. Visitors to Put-in-Bay can travel 317 feet up to the top of the monument and enjoy a spectacular view of the Lake Erie Islands and the shores of Ohio, Michigan and Ontario Canada. At the base of the monument, Put in Bay park rangers give living history demonstrations. Admission is $3.00; 15 years and under are free.

Put-In-Bay Yacht Club
The Put-in-Bay Yacht Club (PIBYC) is located downtown Put-in-Bay in the western end of Lake Erie. They are dedicated to promoting all forms of power boating, sailing, yachting and other aquatic sports. Annual events at Put-in-Bay include cruise outs, picnics, parties, and numerous other social functions. PIBYC is host to the Inter-Lake Yachting Association (I-LYA) Annual Regatta and other national and international sailing events. Put-in-Bay Yacht Club is also a member of the Associated Yacht Clubs (AYC); members are encouraged to participate in AYC sailing and cruising events.

Located just two blocks from the Put-in-Bay Resort your only downtown jet ski rental option. Jet Ski at The Bay is located in downtown Put-in-Bay on the waterfront adjacent to Toledo avenue. Jet skis rent by the half hour and can be reserved online. A coupon for 20 percent off the rental price is available on their website. To better your experience, Watercraft Rentals offers a unique Jet Ski tour that winds its way around the island and through the Bay itself. The tour will take about 45 minutes to arrive where you can enjoy the Boardwalk Restaurant before returning back to the marina on your jet ski. The tour usually lasts 2 1/2 hours.
