Adventure Bay at Put-in-Bay is a popular destination on South Bass Island in Lake Erie, Ohio. The Sandbar owns Adventure Bay, and the two properties are joined.  Though, Adventure Bay is more geared towards families when compared to the Sand Bar.

Skip’s Antique Car Museum is a must-visit and Free destination for car enthusiasts and history buffs visiting Put-in-Bay in Ohio. This unique attraction features a collection of over 50 vintage automobiles, including cars from the 1920s through the 1960s. Visitors can explore the collection at their leisure, admiring the beautifully restored vehicles and learning about their history and significance. In addition to the cars, Skip’s Antique Car Barn also houses a collection of antique gas pumps, signs, and other memorabilia, giving visitors a glimpse into the golden age of American automobiles.

De Rivera Park is a beautiful public park in the heart of Put-in-Bay on South Bass Island in Lake Erie, Ohio. Purchase an uncut geode at The Shop at the Top, and then take it outside to their Geode Cutting Station. Trained staff will cut the geode in two revealing to you for the first time the inner beauty of this rough-exterior gemstone.

Gibraltar Island is a unique and picturesque island located in the western basin of Lake Erie, Ohio. The island is home to the Gibraltar Island campus of the Ohio State University’s Stone Laboratory, a research and educational facility dedicated to the study of freshwater biology, geology, and ecology. Saunder’s Golf Course is the only golf course on the island.  It’s not Augusta, so don’t set your expectations too high.  However, it’s a family-friendly 9-hole par-3 course that rents clubs.  If you’re a serious golfer and extended stay guest, it would be worth leaving the island for a half-day and golfing some of the region’s nicer courses.  Check out our blog post An Outdoorsman’s Guide to Put-in-Bay for a comprehensive list of local courses.

Visitors can rent jet skis or power boats and explore the waters around the island. The rental company offers both single and double jet skis, making it suitable for solo adventurers and groups.  They also offer 15′ (40HP) Power Boats. Perry’s Cave at Put-in-Bay is a popular tourist attraction located on South Bass Island in Lake Erie, Ohio. Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial is a national monument located on South Bass Island in Lake Erie, Ohio. The memorial was built in honor of Oliver Hazard Perry’s victory over the British fleet during the War of 1812 and to celebrate the lasting peace between the United States, Great Britain, and Canada. Visitors can take an elevator to the top of the 352-foot monument for breathtaking views of the island and Lake Erie. The site also includes a visitor center with exhibits detailing the history of the War of 1812 and the importance of peace.
