During the winter months, the Put-in-Bay airport is the lifeline for supplies, mail and getting on and off the island. In the summer month’s visitors have the opportunity to enjoy airplane rides in a barnstorming style Waco aircraft or tour the Put-in-Bay from high above in a helicopter. No reservations are needed and flights are daily weather permitting.
Many of the Put-in-Bay Hotels And Resorts can assist you in renting a golf cart to get to the airport. The Put-in-Bay Airport operates from dusk to dawn. The runway is not lit which makes nighttime take offs and landings impermissible. Fuel is available at the nearby Port CLinton airport but is not sold at Put-in-Bay.
