The Aquatic Visitors Center on Putinbay, Ohio, offers a public dock for fishing with no license needed and free fishing equipment! It’s a wonderful place to take the kids to learn about South Bass Island marine life, with hands-on exhibits, live fish displays, a playroom, videos, activities and the former state fish hatchery. Kids will learn while they’re having fun on the island. The center is open May through September and admission is free.
